Red Sea Aquazone Ozonizers
|
Due to its oxidizing capabilities, ozone kills bacteria and other harmful pathogens and breaks down ammonia and organic waste materials... |

The use of Ozone in an aquarium should be carefully controlled as over use can be damaging to fish, livestock and the user. Ozone can be beneficial in clearing yellowing from the water caused by biological waste or reducing background levels of bacteria and pathogens. Ozone does not discriminate so both good bacteria and bad bacteria are oxidised. The correct method of using ozone is, in a dedicated reactor or in conjunction with a suitable protein skimmer. A redox controller is also useful and offers a measure and control option to help prevent overdosing and potential damage to fish and corals.
