Metal Halide Lighting
Metal halide systems are lights that use special bulbs made with electrodes and gases. A current is channeled between the electrodes, and on its way it arcs through the gases. As it does, some of the energy passes into the gases, which become energized, their atoms rising in energy levels. When the atoms lose this energy, they emit it as pockets of visible light.
